Live Event Illustration

Live event illustration is a unique and memorable way to add entertainment to your evening. Think of it as an elegant and upgraded photobooth experience! I sketch your guests live after taking a quick photo so your guests can then continue to mingle as I work.

Guests can collect their sketches as soon as completed, or come admire the growing art gallery and create an interactive game of who is who. At the end of the evening they have a unique and original drawing to take home.

FAQ

How long does it take to draw a person or couple? 

Each sketch of one person sketch takes just 5–7 minutes. Couples or families can take 10–12 minutes depending on the detail of their clothing. Please keep this pace in mind when you are booking the number of hours. 

What if you do not finish everyone? 

If at the end of the event there are still guests or clients on your list, I can offer studio time at $65 per hour to complete their sketches in the next few weeks and ship them directly to you or your guests. Standard shipping rates apply. 

Alternatively, if there are important guests (such as the mother of the bride) you would like me to focus on, please provide a list before the event and I will prioritize them during the allotted time. 

How many hours do I need to book? 

I book a minimum of 3 hours and recommend 5 hours for weddings. Hourly studio time is also available after the event on request. 

Can we add our names or dates to the paper? 

Yes! Customizable templates are available. Please provide any dates, names, or logos you would like to include when booking.

 

What materials do you use?  

Drawings are completed with professional-level premium markers and color pencils for an authentic fashion illustration look, with guaranteed vibrant long-lasting color. All sketches are on premium weight acid-free paper and gifted to guests in a protective sleeve. Two paper sizes are available. 

5.5" x 7.5" 
A charming keepsake gift. Easier for guests to carry, though they can also pick up their drawings at the end of the event. 

8" x 10" 
Larger size offers more space for custom logos or banners and a more standard framing size. 
 

When do I pay? 

Once we finalize the details, I prepare an invoice and request a 50% deposit to book your date. Full payment is the week of the event. 

 

What do you need for the event? 

Requirements for the venue are a table (at least 3 feet wide), 1 chair, and an electric outlet. Everything else will be provided by me! We will also discuss the venue layout and make sure everything is tailored to your preferences. 

Do You Travel? 

Yes, I am happy to travel! Any event beyond a 2-hour radius of Northern Virginia will potentially require travel and  accommodation expenses.
